Scentsy Story
I joined Scentsy originally in 2016. Before that, I had never even heard of Scentsy. My husband and I had gone to a garage sale and the person having the garage sale had a warmer going in the back of the garage. I fell in love with the scent (one of my favorite scents - "Just Breathe")
The lady at the garage sale showed me some of her warmers (the classic curve and the Zen rock). She told me a website and Frankie and I looked it up. I liked some of the items but didn't really give it much more thought, until Frankie came home and told me he had located a consultant online and wanted to place an order. So I looked again and found a couple things. Then, I looked at the information on hosting a party and saw that I could earn product credit and half price items and I thought I would try that, because who doesn't like free, right? So after my party the consultant told me I had earned some amount of product credit and 2 half priced items. So wow, right? I agonized about what to get for two days. I obviously got the bundles because, let's face it - more product for less money- again, I'm all about a bargain! Then I saw the join kit. At the time, I only wanted to purchase the products for myself. I bought the kit because it was a great way for me to get a lot of product for a minimal amount of money. Anyone that knows me knows that I love a good bargain!! So I didn't put a whole lot of effort into my Scentsy business. After about 4 months I decided I had other things to do and just let my account I close out.
About a year ago (with a lot of encouragement from my husband) I reinstated my account and began to get more involved again. With my very first order I reached the level of Certified Consultant. I still didn't put a lot of effort into it. Then I signed up to go to Scentsy Family Reunion. That is the annual Scentsy Convention and this year it happened in Charlotte, North Carolina. I figured it would be a fun little vacation for the family and I would get some free stuff, so why not?
We had so much fun and were inspired so much that I am ready to relaunch my business! I want to earn a free trip to next year's Scentsy Family Reunion - 20 years - in Orlando Florida!!
So that is my Scentsy story for now...
Update: I came close but didn't earn that trip - BUT - I DID earn a set of luggage that I am using to this day with my Scentsy business and maybe that was better for me, anyway. I'm still using the luggage, and even though I did attend SFR in Orlando on my own dime, it is now a memory. Don’t misunderstand - 2024 SFR was absolutely AMAZING and I learned so much - it's good to have something tangible.
I love that I took that small step and became a Scentsy Consultant. Now, no matter where I go, people are beginning to call me "the Scentsy Lady". I love that!!!
